When the next COD comes out I will be immensely happy. As the fish swim away from the destiny servers to warmer, more spacious waters the game will finally crash.
The fps aspect of this game is holding the majority of the players here but when a better shooter comes out.... Well destiny might see a dive.
When elder scrolls and dragon age are out, all rpg fans will also leave, me at their side. Destiny servers will also take a massive dive again.
When the next game for hardcore mmo fans comes out. Wait... I'm not gonna compare this to an mmo. Destiny servers will take another massive dive.
They also have to compete with new borderlands, dying light, evolve, the division, the order 1886, the crew, NO MANS SKY!and the long list of other games that are finally coming out.
The only ones left will be the hardcore fanboys, all holding each other in an empty, enormous ocean. Wishing the codfish would swim back so they can play on a full server one more time.
Hold fast derpians! ....I mean guardians, the darkness is coming (fades to scary music)

(Edit) wow touchy subject eh? Be mindful where you step on this thread, there are sheep everywhere.
(Edit 2) as it was pointed out I had used there instead or their. This was unacceptable, despicable and just plain old scumbag. I have done everything in my power to correct this
(Edit 3) it keeps getting mentioned so I better say it, MCC will also take a huge chunk out, if not the biggest
(Edit 4) haha right before MCC comes out they "fix" atheons teleport and let loose the monkeys? Destiny, laters bo
(Edit 5) wow... Just wow. 3 whole missions, I would prefer if you just took a literal shite on this game, metaphors aren't satisfying enough

Cod is alright, I'm more of a catfish guy though.

According to Activision 60% of CoD players exclusively play CoD and no other games. Consider that. That remaining 40% is still likely to drop by and play Destiny every once in a while. Even then, Call of Duty and Destiny are both published by Activision. They aren't designed to compete with each other, it would be pointless. Nothing's going to change. The nerfwhores are going to keep calling for nerfs and the "earners" will keep complaining about Xur. There will be no significant impact on the playerbase as a result of Advanced Warfare's launch.

I've seen this type of post on every video game forum I've ever visited, no matter how good/poor the game is, with no exceptions. Feel free to copy/paste the following text on the next video game forum you visit, to save time: ---------- "{Insert name of current game} will die as soon as {insert name of next game} launches, because it will have better {insert feature common to both games}. {Insert name of developer of next game} knows what they're doing and won't cater to the casual whiners who have ruined {insert name of current game}. I will never buy a game from {insert name of current game's developer}. You've lost a valuable, long-time customer! If anyone disagrees with me, then they must be a fanboy who likes rewarding game developers for {insert perceived flaw with current game}." ---------- You're welcome.

Admitting that you are enjoying Destiny on these forums is as damning as admitting to practicing Christianity in a room full of anti-theists.
-
why do people keep comparing Destiny with COD? It's apples and oranges

I don't know if any of you guys know what bungie jumping is but I feel that this was a perfect named company to make destiny. You get all set up, butterflies in your stomach waiting to jump, then that first rush on the way down is exhilarating, then you bounce back up ready to go down again but a little less, then you bounce up again, ready to go back down but, a little less. By the end your just hanging upside down with your feet tied waiting for someone to take you away with nothing to do. This is a perfect analogy of this game (bunjie jumping)
-
*OP flames CoD* *Furiously denies that he plays it on the bungie forums* *Buys it the day of release*

The fact you wrote this long post means you have doubt that your right and want others to confirm your beliefs. The people I play with are still gunna be playing not gunna bother me if and when others leave
-
I'm all for destiny still love playing it, but with no new content on the way my only objective is to get all exotics.
-
Surprised I still haven't seen Longface on here yet
-
Another one muted. When will parents learn the glory of RU486??????
-
One track mind with poor time management skills are you? People will be back and forth between games. It's not like they'll get bored of the next thing once they chew through the content there.
-
That is clearly pizza.
-
Cod has been making no changes to their pvp so they can die in a hole for all I care
-
I'll be playing Advanced Warfare and Destiny. AW for its PvP and Destiny for its future expansions which I bought with the game
-
I hope you have fun with any game you leave to. That would be the reason to leave. I have had so many problems with the last 4 COD that I will have to say sorry I will not join you. It is sad because it was a game that I always loved to play.

Did I miss something? I could have sworn that people have their own tastes and preferences. Everyone likes exactly the same thing as we all know. Oh, wait... I am a gamer. I enjoy playing games. There are definitely games I favor much more than others, but I will never lock myself into one particular franchise. I like variety. Others may not. That doesn't make them wrong, just different. By pledging loyalty to just one franchise, or one console manufacturer, or one __________, you are cutting yourself off from some incredible experiences. That's a shame and very closed minded. I can tell you from experience, every game I have ever purchased didn't magically make my older games vanish from existence. Those games are still there, ready to be experienced when I want to visit them. Play what you enjoy. Others will play what they enjoy. Those aren't always the same thing. Belittling and name calling people that like something you don't particularly care for won't help you grow as an well rounded individual. Based on your post, I hope you see how judgmental you're really coming across as. That's not an insult, just an observation. I truly hope that whatever game you move on to is something you enjoy playing. I hope the community is healthy and accepting of you. Just know that there will still be people playing games you have left for "warmer, more spacious waters". If you do happen to venture back to the frigidness you have left behind...I bet someone will still give you a warm welcome. We are gamers. We need to represent ourselves better. The frivolous bashing needs to go.

Edited by JBar87: 10/20/2014 7:01:51 PMTHERE ARE DOZENS OF US WHO LIKE DESTINY! DOZENS!
-
So you telling me destiny wont have at least 2 other people for me to pair up with? Shut the hell up everybody will be fine and matchmaking will still flow.
-
I'm not a hardcore fanboy, but if I stick around, will somebody hold me anyway?
-
Lol fanboys get cut up when people trash this game
-
...........................................................................and?
-
So... in March of 2016 when Elder Scrolls comes out is when you predict that Destiny will take a dive? I think youre jumping the gun a little bit there bub.
-
Everyone who wanted a decent competitive FPS bailed in week 1. Now it's just MMO nerds and those who want to rule a pile of shit in the Crucible.
-
Which one of your parents bought you the game? You're mom right?
