Seeing as we're getting a moon DLC with major offenses against the Hive and seeing as we have had plenty of time to run all rampant all over the moon, wouldn't it be great if the City deployed a group of titans of one of its orders to secure something like say, the abandoned colony base near the Hellmouth? It'd actually show that we're making some progress instead of feeling like a failing pest control company.
One could even add a new public event defending the new City outpost alongside these new friendly AI titans that do little more than act like the AI already in the game guarding their area. Occasionally, Fallen or Hive might attack them and you'd be able to see a firefight every time you enter the zone, making the world and moon seem more alive.
Thoughts?

Cheese bumped. just so bungie notices!

Love this idea!

I like the #Pestcontrolcompaines
-
I feel no attachment to the traveler :-(

Excellent idea mate
-
Yes just....yes.
-
Yes,please.

This post lives woot! Still have my support
bungie has replied cause they cant say "amaziing idea, but we lazy"
-
Yeah...kind of like deploying AI to add friendly raid matchmaking.
-
Sound cool? Yeh Realistic? No. These cats haven't fixed Atheon Raid yet that I know of. You talking about adding something like this :p
-
Yes I think that is a great idea I would love to see that on every planet though
-
I really would like the concept assassins creed two did with ezio developing that little town. The outpost starting off as a shell and new challenges etc to develop the outpost bringing in new exciting things such as....not really thought that far ahead yet. Anyone think that idea would be a good concept?

Good idea for Destiny 2. Same for other...civilian....outposts on Earth. (Nice touch with the "failing pest control company" line......)

This gets to a key feature I enjoyed immensely in Halo : tailoring your adventure for a unique experience each & every time you play. I _loved_ handing a nearby Marine squadie a Launcher and taking that awesome Combat Shotgun from another so it can use a Needler I found... and how they played out with me as my wingman making my way through my missions as a unique journey and much more memorable. Destiny suffers from Repetitive Stress Syndrome and this simple mechanism {already in code laying around Bungie someplace} would layer a whole new level of personalization.
-
I love the idea but let's be honest, the only thing PVE ever gets "fixed" is boss exploits, and once a month another animal falls off the Noah's ark of KTO bugs.
-
Hahaha, failing pest control company! Never thought of it that way, but yeah, that's funny!

They should add bots into the Crucible. Similar to how Titanfall does it.
-
I don't know about progress. We need to account for new players and can't have Guardians cleaning up the moon and there's nothing left. But the Guardian public event sounds sick. It would really make you feel like you're a part of something. They could beam down from their jump ships.

I like destiny its fun to kill aliens and I don't mind the grind or random drops to much but am disappointed that its not the game it could of been like adding stuff like this or my personal opinion ship battles why not be able to fly your ship through a fallen blockade when entering a planet? Wouldent even be a major thing like you could choose to shoot up the ships for some glimmer or random loot or fly through to your destination make the ships have a point beside looking pretty
-
Bungie will not put any of this sort of effort or content into destiny not while millions are playing the same repetitive grind. The game is what it is the expansions will be more of the same.
-
I don't believe bungie will ever put forth any real effort into this game
-
That would involve bungie to actually do something that doesn't consist of go here kill stuff and/or deploy ghost. Kill bigger version of stuff you already have been killing.

I like this or a week long special class event which would encourage players to try them all out
