Seeing as we're getting a moon DLC with major offenses against the Hive and seeing as we have had plenty of time to run all rampant all over the moon, wouldn't it be great if the City deployed a group of titans of one of its orders to secure something like say, the abandoned colony base near the Hellmouth? It'd actually show that we're making some progress instead of feeling like a failing pest control company.
One could even add a new public event defending the new City outpost alongside these new friendly AI titans that do little more than act like the AI already in the game guarding their area. Occasionally, Fallen or Hive might attack them and you'd be able to see a firefight every time you enter the zone, making the world and moon seem more alive.
Thoughts?

Yes let me get my credit card out probably $20

GENIUS.

I'm going to bump this

Awesome idea! Especially the new public event idea, "Defend the Oupost". Epic!
-
-
This could quite possibly make the game as a whole even seem bigger! Give us more reasons to explore even rather than knock out 6 patrols as quickly as possible and bail out.

Bump needs some people on the planets

Great idea. This game gets so repetitive and boring.

Sounds cool bump

Edited by Killingspankey: 1/7/2015 6:42:32 AMActually they should have added a beach head area to each planet after the initial story is completed. In these areas there should be quest givers that give quest only pertaining to that planet. Much like the free roam mission markers. These Quest givers should also be building a story within the main story. The ever continuing story of reclaiming what was lost. The reef alone should have had a tower like area with new reef mission only quest givers and sales reps adding new join able factions within the reefs own monarchy. In this way you really could pick and choose missions to build you own legend. Just some thoughts....

U deserve a medal and a cookie good sir

I think it's a great idea. I hope Bungie looks at this at adds it.
-
It's bad enough having to fight randoms for kills, why would you want to add NPC's to the mix?
-
I like this. Seems like a pretty good idea. I feel like nothing I do actually has any effect on the game world.

-
Bump.

There was a post about missing comrades to save in halo. The guy made it his mission to save his poor teammates from getting wrecked and said bungie created emotional ties to them. I'd like for that to be employed in this game as well
-
Yeah thatd be cool i loved halo reaches campaign with the group of spartans. There should be something like that in destiny
-
-
In the Destiny pre-release trailer you could see a Frame patrolling the Tower with a sniper rifle. Wouldn't it be cool to have them patrolling numerous planets?
-
This would be great. Unfortunately bungie will be worried about 'new players' who will not understand the progress because they just started.
-
I've always wondered why the universe felt so dead
-
Maybe. Though I'd probably end up just shooting all the AI either because I mistook them for hive or just 'cause they were in my way.
