Seeing as we're getting a moon DLC with major offenses against the Hive and seeing as we have had plenty of time to run all rampant all over the moon, wouldn't it be great if the City deployed a group of titans of one of its orders to secure something like say, the abandoned colony base near the Hellmouth? It'd actually show that we're making some progress instead of feeling like a failing pest control company.
One could even add a new public event defending the new City outpost alongside these new friendly AI titans that do little more than act like the AI already in the game guarding their area. Occasionally, Fallen or Hive might attack them and you'd be able to see a firefight every time you enter the zone, making the world and moon seem more alive.
Thoughts?

Would love this, a handful of NPC's in the wild would give PvE a warmer experience. Titans makes sense.

I think that's a great idea. Its one thing that I've wanted but never said anything about. Going along with living environments, I'd like to see animals of some sort on each planet. Isn't there anything left on earth besides robots and humans and a few birds? Implementing a forest or an actual city environment would be awesome. Having some Fallen inside the city would be cool. It could be like another war zone. Infiltrating the enemy position and taking back the area slowly. There's so much potential to be done with a living environment/new environments. To Venus. Venus is supposed to be a jungle planet semi turned into a machine. There have to be so many different animals inside the jungle, away from the ruined city. I would love to see some DLC that takes you into the jungle itself to seek out hidden Vex and anything else that might be out there. Think about it. Branches and leaves around you making you feel claustrophobic while you explore the unknown, not knowing what kinds of animals could jump out at you for a snack/meal. Or it could be that the Fallen have a secret base inside the jungle. Then there could be some cool gorilla warfare situations. Sigh... Just some ideas to start an interesting conversation. What do you think?

Would be cool if these outposts also had materials that woul accumulate for collection with a faction representative. The higher rank you are with that faction the more you get.

Ha! Oh you fool... You expect too much of this game and it's developers at this point. I'd be surprised if any significant changes are ever made. So much lost potential in this game...

This would tie in perfectly with level based patrols. If you had level based patrols then it wouldnt "spoil" the story for people who hadn't gotten there yet. Great idea!

Edited by Ethsentray: 1/7/2015 4:32:09 AMThey should do that on x number of Crota's End hard raid completions, then a quest should open that is a match made strike to take back said area, (very limited time event) leaving people there to defend the conquered area.
The guardians defending the area should sometimes use unknown subclasses.
I've already posted, apparently, but still love this idea. AI allies wouldn't even bother play styles. Most enemies turn and shoot at the real guardians anyways no matter whom they are fighting so why not?
-
Ive wished for this idea for a long time, guardians need operational outposts on each planet, a foothold or something perhaps. Weve fought in the solar system for 4 months now is it? And no progress? We need NPC guardians and some sort of staging area for each planet we are fighting on.

I agree, even though I kill a boss such as sepiks prime and we "cripple the enemy" or complete an area it feels like you have done absolutely nothing because the enemy still completely dominates the area. We have recovered nothing of these planets.

There's lots that could be done, or changed. I.E make the maps more open, and explorable. Open buildings to explore, use as sniper hides, allow glass to be breakable. Like in battlefield, COD right now it's pretty confined and limits tactics. Since a player can join factions, make faction leaders issue assignments and missions. Center on there goals. Where reputation and credit are earned. Not just in PVP but in game as well. ( forget crucible marks make it faction specific marks) this way expands the game, gives more content, and varies the play. I feel there is something off in level and damage. At level 20+ I should be one shooting level 2's after all they do only 70 points damage, and should only have about 200 points in health. So why are they not dropping when shot? Unless it's a critical hit? That's like saying my 44 mag needs to shoot a fly twice to get a kill, yet a fly can kill me if it hits me three times. It's not making sense. That needs fixed. Introduce outposts both enemy and friendly that can call in support. Where fixed cannon could be used by players (defending could be a public event) add roaming enemy patrols around enemy outposts to be avoided or removed. Add armed transport to guardian inventory. (Why should we be the only beings without armed transportation?) for that matter why don't we have any flying fire support like the enemy doesn't? For future playable worlds depending on class would change accessible missions. IE scouts sneak and peek, Titans/warlocks (strike) assault and land. Establish outpost/base. In future leave the cheese alone. If the enemy fall off the cliff so what. Guardians do too. You don't give us bumpers.
