Clearly our characters didn't die before the discovery of the Traveler lol. That would imply we died in a field in Russia and our body just lay there until the Traveler was discovered and while humans subsequently built the Cosmodrome right next to our dead bodies that no one bothered to bury. That would imply that the Golden Age was ushered in after the Cosmodrome was built and people just walked by our bones just sitting outside. Mothers would tell their children, "Watch out honey, don't step on all of those bones there." Come on man. Think. Clearly we died during the Collapse or something, not pre-Traveler.
