Ok, So I've had several idea's that could be added to the game to create a better dynamic and make grinding actually worth it regardless of what you get.
[b]Reforging[/b]
Ok so We all get weapons from engrams and the such. But what do you do when you get multiples of some guns? Just break Them down?
The idea I have is to put a vendor in the tower, somewhere to the west from the spawn point. You know those 4 doors that are just kinda there with nothing to them? Put it there, Have a Guy who will take for example you have 4 Shadow Price's and he can take the 4 and re-roll them into another kind of weapon. Completely random of course so its like the lottery and give it a upgrade chance like engrams have to where it can re-roll into a exotic if it was legendary or so on and so forth. That way we Don't have our vault or inventory cluttered with weapons we don't have the heart to break down for just a few small materials.
[b]Recycle Vendor[/b]
Also when you break down weapons you get Things like Plasteel Platings , Hydronic Essence, Sapphire Wire. These items you get only serve one purpose and thats to upgrade armor. Well once you get your good set and you continue to break down items you start to amass them. Like me On my titan i have some 2700+ Plasteel Platings that are just sitting there not Doing anything. And I Don't have The heart to just delete the stack because we get nothing for that. What I Propose is a Recycle Vendor that you can use those to purchase stuff like Ascendant Shards or Energy or other Materials you actually need allot of nd use Frequently. Make it Kinda like the Vanguard vendor where you turn in a certain amount and you get items. (Amount should be several hundred for trade in's.) This way we can make use of them and gives new reasons to pick up that green drop and not leave it on the ground cause its worthless to you now. The engrams bought from the cryptach will be exempt from this and will not give any materials to prevent people from "buying materials with Glimmer". Same thing for Weapon Parts.
[b]Maps[/b]
The game needs a mapping system so when your friends are at a public event lets say in Rocket yard on Earth. you can pull it up and know just the way to get there instead or running around mindlessly wasting time hoping you find the area in time. Have it set to a pull up Menu so you can study it to learn the best are's for grinding. Have it list the type of monsters/ Species that are in that certain area when you hover over that map section. Let it tell you what level monsters are there so lets say someone fresh to destiny doesn't wander into a lvl 20 area on earth and can stay well into the level appropriate area's. (Map feature should be in Patrol mode only.) This Way we can learn the Area's So when someone says hey Public event in Meridian Bay on Mars you have 4 minutes to get here and tag it. You can Load in and Instantly start heading that way knowing its the right path.
[b]Gear Set's[/b]
Have a option to where we can make a certain set of gear for lets say PvP or PVE and we can instantly just go to that saved set instead of having to equip Each piece individually and waste valuable seconds in PVP or PVE. This can be used for armors for lets say Scout rifle's if you're going into a hard strike and would prefer to keep your distance or Hand Cannon/Shotgun set if you want to move in close and personal.
Have it save the sets and make it customizable so that people just won't throw random guns in your inventory and have to hunt for it. Call it the Armory and you should make it separate from your actual drop's inventory so that you plenty of storage room for engrams instead of your gear sets hogging all the room.
[b]Loading Screens[/b]
Give us something to do during these long Loading Screens. Lets us actually maneuver our ship and fly around the planet or race friends. that are also in the load with us. Have a finish line and debris we have to avoid, and give us a competition list to see who hit the finish lien the fastest. This is supposed to be a post-apocalyptic world where much of the earth is destroyed. Why then is the sky so blue and the scenery so pretty and perfect? Give us different types of loading screens so we can see for our selves the damage the darkness has done to the earth. Let us Fly through some of the towns that didn't make it see the destruction. Give it meaning to the Travelers Protection. But Doesn't Always have to be stuff like that, You could just make due with giving us Grimoire cards we could read during the loading screen so that way while we are waiting to play your game we are also learning about its background and getting a more indepth look into the world of Destiny. The ships should have different speeds to them like the sparrows that way getting a legendary ship isn't just eh for the cosmetic. Let us shoot with the ships , so we can destroy the debris instead of just avoiding it.
[b]Better Character Design[/b]
Give us more in depth character design instead of the 8 faces and 8 hairs that are preset. Let us decide the length of our nose the distance between our eyes and how big our smile can be. This way your Character is Truly Unique in that you for sure won't run into someone at the tower that has the exact same look as you, and yes this has happened to me more than once.
[b]Armor Transmutations[/b]
Let Xur sell something Transmutation essence. A Item that would let you take one piece of gear and make it look like another while still keeping its rarity and its stats. I Can't Count the number of times if found ad really cool looking helmet that I would totally where only to realize that my current helmet is better and has much more defence yet I Like the look of the other one better. Give us a way we can lets say take a cool looking blue helmet (rare) and put that helmet skin over something like a purple helmet (legendary) skin art only, while the legendary retains its stats and upgrades. Make it to where we can customize our look so when you see someone in the tower that looks Badass beyond all belief and you inspect his armor you can see it was transmuted and you can see what he used.
[b]Dye System[/b]
Make it to where we can dye certain pieces of armor the way we want it that way we don't have to make due with a shader thats ehh......
Make it a unlock once you hit level 20 and give the shaders to anyone under level 20. This way we can put more customization on our Guardian so that it is truly Unique and will fuel people to actually go out and farm armor's that look cool and can be dyed the way we want.
[b]Towns[/b]
Have other safe havens or Camps at other worlds!!! So instead of always going to the tower you can head to the Look-out Camp at Mars. Have vendors there that offer other things that the tower does not. a Bounty vendor that gives bounties Specifically for that planet! so when you finish you 6 or 7 bounties you're not just down for the day. Make certain Exotic Weapon bounties take you to these towns or camps so we have more exploration and little bit more of that spark the game had when we first started playing.
[b]Sparrow Races[/b]
Have a area for Sparrow races in each Town or Camp with different terrain. Make it to where players can bet their hard earned glimmer on the races. For the players who are racing give them a incentive to actually participate so that when all your weekly and daily stuff is done you can come here for some fun. make the rewards kind like strike reward lists but instead of everyone having the same odds at the loot, Make it the position you placed in during the race first getting the better chance at loot then last place. This will actually give people reasons to farm those vanguard / crucible makes for that rare sparrow which is little bit faster and buy that upgrade from Xur.
Thats all I have for now I'm sure I'll think of more later. As it stands from what i can tell this game has way to much Cosmetic / Vanity only items that Don't do anything. GIVE THEM REASONS TO BE SOUGHT AFTER!! Everything that you get in this game Should have a Purpose and a way to use it to better the Destiny Experience and make the game more fun.

The only issue with towns is that in lore, the city is the only place that is safe from the darkness, everything else has been claimed by different enemy types. It breaks the idea of having only one safe place. It would be interesting to have traveling vendors or agents of nine, or something to that effect though!
