Warlocks are the high dps class.
Titans are the tank class.
Hunters are suppose to be the in between class.

Warlocks are supposed to be in between, specifically Sunsinger. They can choose support with song of flame, tank with radiant skin, or their "DPS skill" self revive. Hunters need some skill changes so they can do more DPS in raids, or need some skills to be more useful when they're competing for a raid spot versus a class that can just revive them self, which is arguably the best skill in hard mode

I recall watching one of the pre release destiny videos mentioning that warlocks are the glass cannon class.

Yeah now that you've said that, I seem to recall that too. Man, they really need a class overhaul on both then lol
