Destiny 2 will receive an update tomorrow. Players will be required to log in to Destiny 2 again after installing the update. Please stay tuned to @BungieHelp for updates.
Dear Bungie,
I've been a big fan of you guys since the first Halo, and I've loved all the Halo games you guys have put out. I enjoy Destiny sometimes, but most of the times I'm just getting irritated. Why? It's because the Pulse Rifles are WAY TOO WEAK in the Crucible. The reason why I say this is because the only reason why it is hard to use is because of the Auto Rifles.
Auto Rifles in PvP are kind of overpowered, and with the ARs, there are no reason why someone would pick up a different weapon. I find myself being the only one wielding a pulse rifle in every game I play, and I also find myself getting wrecked by ARs, especially the Suros Regime. I'm not even bad with the Pulse Rifles either. Most of my kills with it are headshots, but that's only because I need to get a headshot so I can win a gunfight unlike the ARs, it doesn't take quite skill to kill someone with them.
So what I'm asking for is a compromise. A tiny buff that would make the Pulse Rifles to be at the same level as the Auto Rifles. Maybe make them take one or two bullets less to kill. The weapons online are very unbalanced and this is causing me to stop playing Destiny for a bit. And believe me, I played the hell out of Halo, so I know how to strafe, jump, and aim for the head well, but it's just ridiculous that no matter how good I am with Pulse Rifles, it still doesn't seem very rewarding. I've mastered it, but it still doesn't feel as good.
The ARs, from my experience, have very very high stability having little to no recoil, and they are very accurate at a mid-long range. Now, the logic behind this? Where is it? I don't know. And I don't know if you've tried to fire a high fire rate full auto rifle, but it kicks and it isn't very accurate at long range at all. I know this is a "sci-fi" shooter but physics is physics. The Pulse Rifles problem though, is that it isn't very accurate when it comes to the mid-long ranges anymore. I often see myself shooting an enemies forehead, but not even one hit marker. I don't know if that's the gun's accuracy or just terrible net code or hit detection. But it is real.
Bottom line is, Pulse Rifles either need to be buffed or the Auto Rifles need to be nerfed. PvP is becoming like CoD because of this unbalanced issue, and I would not like Destiny going in that direction. I wish to see the Pulse Rifles behave like the BR in Halo 2, 3, & 4.
So please, Bungie, either buff the PRs or nerf the ARs. Balance is everything, and it is what Halo has that Destiny, sadly, doesn't have. I had really high expectations for this games PvP, knowing that you guys, Bungie, are the ones making it. But so far.... Halo 2,3,4 Multiplayer >>> Destiny Crucible ):
