Higher Level Heroic Modes Integrate Interesting Mechanics

While leveling up, the progressive heroic difficulties actually are interesting. Enemies have more life, there are a few more majors thrown in, more mob packs, or throw in a few snipers. It progresses reasonably well and the changes are an interesting surprise. (Like in this heroic weekly 28, the hobgoblin pack that snipe you when you're on the pikes. Guess we're doing this on foot today!) But at a certain point, the bosses just become huge bullet sponges that take 5-10 minutes of straight headshots to kill if you both were standing still. But wait, we're constantly on the go because of the waves upon waves of mobs who eat up all your ammo. So some of these fights done normally stretch out to laughably long sessions--and at worse, feel more annoying than challenging. Hiding out a whole boss fight is certainly a strategy, but it's not particularly fun nor exciting. Surely there is a way to make this game more difficult without just increasing mob count and giving everything more health? Before you start sending me "play better, noob" messages, think about what have been your best victories so far? Getting the team coordination down on Atheon? Being able to rock with the relic? Getting into a really good groove defending sync plates? I suggest that instead of just increasing mob count and health, more creative mechanics are integrated into the higher level heroics. Having to defend points, or hold an area for a few sec to bring down a periodic boss shield, or a special weapon that you can get the boss to drop and you turn it against them, or kill special targets. Anything really. In exchange, mob and boss life can be brought down to a level where quick thinking and aiming are a means to a win, and not just brute forcing through health bars. Thank you for reading! TL;DR: Like the raid, more emphasis on quick thinking, sharp shooting, and teamwork. Less on brute forcing through endless mob packs and health bars.
