Agreement on Xur's Problem

Okay so I'm gonna try to see if I can get some people agree with each other here, please continue reading if you can understand someone else's point of view. So xur sells exotic weapons and this angers some people who got there's through luck. However this is good for players who are not lucky and may have the hardest time getting 1 exotic. The problem here is that xur breaks the current rng system that bungie has centered their game around and because xur sells specific exotic weapons he makes them very common and less rare making people that had it and were apart of a small crowed feel like they aren't holding anything special now. But exotics should feel somewhat special. What I propose is that xur should not sell specific exotic weapons, instead he should sell an exotic engram for each a primary, a special, or a heavy. This way people are still rolling the dice while getting an exotic to benefit them and it also still makes exotics rather unique as it is a random exotic creating diversity in your fireteam and on pvp. Let me know what you guys think. I just wanna see people on the same page here.

  • I commend you for your attempt, but the truth is people will still argue and complain about everything in the game. There are essentially five kinds of people who post on game forums: a) People who are angry about some aspect of the game and want to complain or argue with someone about it. b) People who simply want to troll and start fights with the people from category a. c) People who want to brag about themselves, the exploits they've found or anything else that inflates their ego. d) People who know nothing about the game and either want help (who are sh*t on by the first three groups) or act like they know everything and point out common knowledge. e) People who actually enjoy the game, have some knowledge about it and want to talk to other like minded players in order to enjoy a sense of community. Group e is unfortunately the minority; no matter how hard you try to get the other groups to get along they will always be fighting. With that said I have to wonder if there is anything to fix at all, the question I pose is: Does it make a difference whether or not you get an item from one random drop or many? Strange coins can be farmed, but it is by no means consistent; getting 17 (or 23) strange coins can be just as much if not more random at times than receiving an exotic randomly by another means; making them no more or less difficult to obtain. So what is the real problem, Xür or our egos?
