It began when I ascertained that Xur was selling an helmgram. To reach level 30 for my hunter, I knew I needed an exotic helm. I subsequently and swiftly decided to buy the helmgram with my warlock. Admittedly, this was a risky move. The Cryptarch is shifty and treacherous. His perfidious transactions have subdued some of the most capable guardians. However, I gained a small victory today when I had done it: the Cryptarch gave me the helm I needed- the mask of the third man. Of course, I need to get to 30 and get two more pieces of raid armor. But this small win is still a victory. I used the system against the Cryptarch and he gave me exactly what I wanted! Tl;dr- ITT: a Cryptarch revenge story.
