I can never go vegan due to my allergies to fruits and veggies. Its an immunoreaction to the pollen and a few other chemicals commonly found in plants. not all animals are living in small cages, just ask about the deer in New Mexico

I thought pollen cross reaction can be removed by cooking the foods. But I haven't really looked into it. May I ask what you eat then? (Not looking to criticize you, I'm genuinely curious.)

  • I eat mostly proteins and grains, some dairy foods as well. I can eat some veggies after they are cooked, but most retain the chemicals I am allergic to even after cooking. as a side note, I loved watermelon but I would go into anaphylactic shock and slowly suffocate from my windpipe swelling shut if I tried to eat it again.

  • That sounds genuinely troublesome. I'm not sure how I'd uphold my ethics in that situation.
