Again, I played Strikes all day the last three days and got nothing from the end game rolls outside of a few extra blue Engrams. Meanwhile I got two Legendary Engram drops and a lot more blues from either the Mobs along the way or being sure to kill a ton of the bads at the Boss. One of those blues turned into a Legendary weapon and a lot of the others Motes of Light or Strange Coins. It takes an extra 5-6 minutes to mop up all the mobs, not an hour.

All you're saying is, you happened to get lucky with kills, and unlucky with rolls. I for example, could tell you that I've gotten 4 legendaries from rolls and none from drops post-patch. This narrative is "evidence" to the exact opposite of your claims, but I'm not foolish enough to believe my personal limited data set is in any way representative of the larger game mechanics at play.
