Have you tried to use death from above in a CQC situation? It simply dose not work because its not a CQC variant of FOH it is the ranged variant therefor it is currently the titans only ranged super.

It can be triggered from afar and covers ground faster than a nova bomb (even with javelin) turning your character into the projectile there for it is a ranged super that then puts your character into a close quarters situation, which is easily escapable if the player is vigilant enough to do so.

No, because you're travelling from point A (the safe area) to B (CQB situation), it would only be ranged if you could stay at point A, using the super, and the super (separate from you) goes to point B. Because it's your distance from the target that makes an attack 'ranged'.
