There is a disconnect between you and those players. That disconnnect is that while you are playing a game, these players are just pulling the lever in their personal Skinner box*. You are there to play, they are there to finish. Some will even get angry that you are impeding them from pulling that lever by even a minute, as evidenced by some of the "serious gamers" in this thread. These addicts will on occasion refer to mentally healthy players as "casuals" or even call into question their skill level based on nothing.
