Main reason is to do bounties that require strikes. Bad juju, incentive.
After wiping the strike 2 times you begin to get a tad bored. So you race through. When you see someone do it. Best thing to do is follow.

Yeah I'm doing the Bad JuJu bounty and I don't have nearly enough time to casually stroll through the Devil's Lair strike 25 freakin times. However, I don't skip the actual enemies or ditch my team on the "strike" baddies. It's been working well so far, and all the people I've been matched with do the same.

Do summoning pits. You can run through most of it. Only stop at the door to open it. Then at the actual pit to kill the boss. That is what I did.
