If the races actually had an impact with racial attributes I'd agree. If they intend to keep them irrelevant then who really cares.
It's mainly the, 'I'm such a high level though!' thing. It's like, twenty in no more than two days, re-equip, boom level 27 again. Everything is BoA not BoP
