Microsoft. They let Bubgie do their thing in the past.

  • I'd say they should be independent. They could find investors to raise the capital for the game and make the game how they wanted. Bungie has a long proven track record which would allow them attract investors easily. If I had to chose a publisher I'd say EA. Mass Effect 3 and titanfall both continued to give free content along with dlc. Titanfall suffered the same backlash as Destiny, lack of content, but has been improving. I even remember Burnout Paradise receiving tons of free content that really expanded the game.

  • I don't know about EA. What you said about Respawn and Bioware is true. But I'm apprehensive about two things: a) this gives EA a monopoly, which would jeopardise free content; b) working for the most corporate company, any game made by Bungie could potentially have more blemishes than Destiny because release dates would be determined by quartlety reports of the company.

  • I agree. EA is my choice only if I had too chose. I'd say Microsoft as well with the obvious success of the Halo franchise but would we even see destiny if Bungie hadn't have left. Also I like having a community of gamers of both systems

  • I concur, I like both systems. When Bioware went to both I found it refreshing. Same thing here too.

  • I agree. Either Microsoft or Sony. They let their studioes do their thing. Its the 3rd party publishers that screw everything up.

  • I don't know how I'd feel about Sony. SOE does have a good reputation, but Bungie being just a Sony company seems odd.

  • I may sound odd but if you read about how things were going late in the production of The Last of Us it wasn't exactly smooth. A lot of the same fears that caused Destiny to get gutted were being felt there. Fortunately, Sony is very hands off and Naughty Dog figured it out at the end.

TLOU is a tremendous game- very basic story, but the characters are gritty and real. I don't know if Bungie would ever go in that direction because they always go for the lone hero disconnected from society. SOE puts up with the Metal gear solid team, so I think it's natural they'd let TLOU team work things out. SOE knows how to manage devs. It's not that you sound odd, Bungie would just have to start on square one with SOE. They still have ties with Microsoft (Staten is there), but they'd never go back. Too many members of the community on Playstation. I just want the good ol days lol
