I don't get all the whining. There was no contractual obligation made (or even promises) that the disc you bought and all its contents would be immediately available to you.
Reality: long done are the epic narritives that you can pay for once and play through completely without at least given the option to pay for additional content. Piracy + DLC being a profitable business model for software are the reasons for that.
Let's all be honest for 5 seconds and agree that if the 'DLC' content areas were not on the disc there would be none of these entitlement rants, right?
Problem with that is it would involve massive PSN/XBox Network clogs to download massive chunks of the game for millions of players each time an expansion came out giving you all a different reason to cry and complain.
So shame on Bungie for front loading the content in a form that minimizes the time it takes to download and begin playing the expansions if you choose to buy them and shame on Activision for not being a charity or not-for-profit.

Oh yea.. thank you Bungie for short-changing the game I payed $60 for and locking content that could have been available on day one. Thank you for charging my an additional $40 to "unlock" what I already own and gimping my gaming experience for a few months so you can pretend this is real DLC you are slaving away on and not just a couple of $19.99 7mb Key files. Malovi you have a very brown nose.

It's really hard to argue with your logic seeing as you were involved in every developement decision made and have documented proof that the game that shipped wasn't what was intended to ship but rather everyone got greedy and decided to chop it up into pay-to-play chunks. Shame on me for being so naive. OR.. as is more plausible: actually read my post, specifically the entire 2nd half of it.

Everybody knows Activision isn't a charity/non-profit whose only intent is to hand out games at no charge but charging for on-disc DLC is just bullshit. I don't understand why people such as yourself are defending such disgustingly anti-consumer practices, unless you work at Activision/Bungie yourself.

Edited by Malovi: 9/29/2014 5:33:06 PMWhy bother replying to a post if you aren't even going to read it? Your assumption that the content being on the disc entitles you to be able to play it without having to pay for what Bungie/Activision have deemed additional content is faulty. Bungie and Activision or any developer/producer for any game have the rights to put a price tag on every pixel in their game. They aren't forcing you to play their game, all they are doing is giving you reasons to spend your money on their product. SO EVIL! Nobody working for Bungie or Activision would engage/respond to this kind of a whine-fest for practical and possibly even legal reasons, I just happen to be a fan. I guess I just dont get how the reception from far too many of what has clearly been marketed as a gaming experience that will grow over time basically boils down to "boohoo, you owe us more content!"
