I'd suggest you look at the original game, then. Skyrim launched with 2 of the DLC's actually already fully completed on the disc. Was that game/set/match? Oh yes, it was! This is HARDLY a new practice, welcome to 2014.

Yeah but skyrim had a massive world and a massive story that justified the price, you could be anything and go anywhere. But you keep defending the game to make yourself feel better ;)

  • Ok, now I know you are talking nonsense. I modded my Skyrim since release and I really know much about the structure of the game. Textures and mesh path and I can assure you that the DLCs where not on the disc! Sure a Vampire that has been reused is on the disc but the new parts the castle as an example is new! Take a look at the base files and extract them and you will see. So please stop talking about things where you have no knowledge, at least for Skyrim I can say you have none! Also, the DLCs for Skyrim are several GBs of data not just key holders like the Screenshots in the opening post show. And again proof us what you say or at least explain how you came to this conclusion we all wanna know.

  • Indeed, the DLC are only 8-9mb on my console, pure proof that it's on the disc, waiting to be unlocked by people with $$$

  • I modded Skyrim as well. The content, the same level that's available here, was available on that disc.

  • Still waiting for the path within the BSA file that leads me to the vampire castle of DLC1. As a modder it should be very very easy to lead me the way.

LOL, you call me a child and yet you're ignorant to the overwhelming truth that this is how the industry works. Awesome. I guess Vampires and Werewolves are real now, too?

  • Stop lying. That is not true. Tell me in which BSA file you see the vampire castle from DLC 1? Or the other mesh elements from Dragonborn temple. Then I will believe you. I am curious.

  • No, skyrim launched over a year before its dlcs and none of it was disk locked content , what about bf?

Incorrect. Again, have Skyrim played Skyrim and can attest to the fact that the DLC names and content were on the disc. I'd strongly suggest you use your computer fu - They exist. Further, BF launched with all content on the disc, both of them. Common practice is common practice...

  • I do not know where you are from but let us say you are from the US. It is common there to get robbed. So when this happens to you do not complain about it, yeah its common you know...

  • Time-out. Your argument is a false positive. First of all, the "proof" of what exists on the Destiny Disc is simply code. It's not FINISHED content, it's code. Per that level of availability, Skyrim was equal. Metro, equal. COD, equal. DOA, equal. GTA, equal. BF3 and 4 had day 1 launch DLC's available in the form of premium memberships. This is how the industry NOW works because we have supported this trend. If you want it to change, stop supporting it but, whining in a Destiny forum is not pushing your cause any further. If you want to be in a hypocrite that's your business but, Borderlands 2, Skyrim, CoD, DOA, GTA, Metro -- You literally can't name a recent launch with a DLC that hasn't almost been finished, available in at least it's code form, not available on the disc. That's the truth.

  • If you look at the content you downloaded you clearly see that there are new files. Especially on the PC you can easily proof that your arguments are not true not a bit. Also you should stop whining around that people are whining about Destiny. Oh and well there is still no proof from your side. But I see you are trolling around. No proof just words. I know these kind of people.

  • Yes, you're one of them. You clearly downloaded CODE. Nothing other than CODE. If CODE is the new proof of concept, I'll now write code enlarging my private area because apparently, proof of concept for you is enough to be 100% fact.

  • That is not true. Take the dlc files open them and you see there is much more then just code. There are textures, Sound files meshes animations and much more.

  • So that's now COMPLETED content? Oh I forgot, you are the programmer for this game! Please sir, tell us how finished it is? Is it finished?

  • You are still talking around the facts. I can open all the elements in the skyrim editor, see them edit them everything. Without working at bethesda.

  • So, Mr. Master Programmer - Is it finished, completed and done the way their programmer wants it? You're assuming it's ready. I'm telling you: It's not. One thing you don't have insight into since you don't work at Bethesda is what's finished and what's not. Period. You don't know so, in your words: Stop lying.

  • Skyrim is finished. You cannot even say me where the castle is located in the bsa files. You do not need to be a programmer to recognize that. Come on do it show me where the castle is in the bsa files. You not even know what these files are? Yeah you know that once you try to answer that question you reveal yourself.

  • You are clearly, a Bungie employee since you know what's ready for release and what's not. Sir, is this content ready and finished, yet? You know all! I bow to the master programmer!

  • We where talking about skyrim and the link you provided was talking about day 1 patch. I cannot speak for all games but for Skyrim I can. And there I proof that you are wrong. Still waiting for the path to the Dawnguard castle, texture or whatever when I am home I can show you that you are wrong.

  • Your 1 point out of 20 proves nothing. Bethesda planned a day 1 dlc for pre orders - so you're ultimately wrong. A dlc was planned. Bethesda defended it in the article. Period done end! Regardless of what content you've downloaded it's not finished until bungie says it is!!! End of story!!!

  • Nope not true. This dlc was for everyone. Everybody got it point set. For free. No money. I am not talking about the whole industry. They do the same mistakes that leads them in the end the last time. Quantity over quality.

  • So you are saying Gamespot falsely reported? Because that article is very clear: Bethesda Defends Day 1 DLC. Maybe I don't speak English, well? That says Bungie DEFENDS DAY 1 DLC. Later decided to give it to everyone but, they still PLANNED IT since they DEFENDED IT. ...Want that in German?
