I need some major help!!

I need help im a level 11 warlock and my friend is level 15 but he keeps getting rare and legendary engrams but I can't get any. Anybody know how to? He showed me a farming thing and I'm getting uncommon that's it. Please help :(

Don't worry about that yet. Just focus on leveling up and you will start finding alot more loot. :)
