DLC itself is such bullshit, and for the last decade or so it's really gotten out of hand. Remember when you bought a game and got the entire thing? MAYBE you got an "expansion", circa Diablo 2 Lord of Destruction-esque. DLC in a nutshell: "Here is 75% of your game, that'll be $59.99. For $35 more, you can have the last 25% of your game in a month."

  • "Yeah, you remember before the Internet was really used? Great times bro. Hey, can I borrow that 8-track?"

  •
"Yeah, you remember before the Internet was really used? Great times bro. Hey, can I borrow that 8-track?"
Found the underage. It sucks that an entire generation of gamers are comfortable with DLC and will never know the glory of buying an entire game.

  • I understand your frustration, I really do, but DLC's is just part of gaming in today's electronic age. Until gamers make a united stand against this shady practice, gaming companies will continue to take advantage of us. DLC's should be EXTRA content. Not the original content broken into multiple parts. I now trust no game developer. I will never preorder anything and I will wait atleast 2 months before buying any game. Game companies are as crooked as politicians in my book.

How will gamers make a united stand against DLC? Not download it? Are you going to lead that rally? Are you gonna march down the streets of Washington? How are you going to start the united stand against DLC? I want to know how you're going to do this because I would love to join.

  • Eh, I remember it just fine. I also remember 8-bit games and all that jazz. Fun stuff, but if I went back and played it now, the nostalgia would wear off eventually. But feel free to load up Pong, that was cool too, and they didn't parcel off a different colored bouncer for DLC!

  • Borderlands 2, Skyrim, and Fallout New Vegas. Thats how DLC should work. I want a full game, and I want the option to buy more of that game, not because I need it to finish the story, but because I want more from that game world. Plus your 75% estimate is probably a little high lol. Maybe 50% considering the DLC is half again the size of the game...

  • Indeed Those games did DLC right. They had a proper base game that could satisfy and then later if people wanted more, they created more.
