DISCLAIMER::::::::THIS IS NOT S DEFENSE STATEMENT. I COULD CARE LESS IF THIS WAS BUNGIE OR ANY OTHER COMPANY. Many many many games do this. Let's take one of the biggest games in recent memory. World of warcraft. When it launched there were tens of hundreds of places you could not get to due to them not being finished. For anyone familiar with this....Caverns of time anyone????? Just because something is "already in" a game means NOTHING. Why don't you explain to everyone how fast you can come up with........3-4 full encounters inside of a raid. Make the bosses...all of thier mechanics....all the new mechanics that will be introduced into that fight that have not been in the game yet......Example: Relics in VOG. Now once you have come up with how these encounters will work, you need to code the encounters. Now once you have coded all this crap you need to test it.....and test it.....and test it. Sometimes starting over from scratch over and over. TLDR:::: Just because an ENVIRONMENT is ready to go does not mean the bosses/quests/mecahnics/story/CGI/loot are ready to go. Yes they can throw in some rehash enemies as PLACEHOLDERS. But that by no means makes it complete. Please please please understand how making content works before you spout off at the mouth in a idiotic manner.

  • I would like to point out that the mechanics for the Relic in the VOG are the exact same for the Sword of Crota in the story mission on the moon aside from the shield which is pretty much a Titan's Ward of Dawn ..

  • Fair enough. Just saying that some ideas actually take new coding. Even if this wasn't the best example.

  • We all see what happens to WoW clones. They die off within the first year

  • No one said it was a WoW clone. It was just a simple general comparison to get my point across. I adore how many one line comments completely miss the point.

  • If this is the case, then they pushed it out the door before it was done. That's just as bad. I feel Ike I'm play half a game and I'm almost out of shit to do

  • @ackter You hit the nail my friend. While unfortunate, this is the nature of the beast as we know it.

  • Unfortunately that's every game these days. Every single game you've played in the last few years had more content initially that was removed before release because they couldn't make the deadlines. It's due to all the money spent on marketing it, and the "ideal" time of year to release a game while also taking into account other games being released around your launch window etc etc etc Most of the time, delaying the game will lose the company far more money than just cutting out a couple of unfinished missions so the game can be released. It sucks but, with the amount of money thrown around the games industry these days, it's inevitable.
