"Free range" and "organic" are nothing but marketing tricks to manipulate consumers. The standards are only marginally above factory farms, but they can show a big green meadow on the carton and people don't give it a second thought. They're the energy saving light bulbs of the animal industry; people sleep a little better at night, but in truth they aren't really doing anything.
