Both are fine. The Cryptarch gave me an exotic from a legendary engram. I've basically gotten all my gear not from RNG, but from rep vendors. I don't know why everyone is complaining about gear, I'm level 27 and it's only been two weeks. It's a bit boring now though since I have good gear and can't really achieve higher by myself. [spoiler]FIFA here I come[/spoiler]
