Hey man, I can tell you that as a Titan myself there are games that just seem stacked against you. However we're not terrible at PvP as Titans, and we're certainly the backbone of PvE. I run with a Warlock and a Hunter constantly, I also use The Last Word hand-cannon in PvP. What I've seen? Striker is great for rushing targets with a quick opener, and shotgunning the others ( You have to flank them however for the shoulder charge, most people think it's instant, It isn't. ) Fist of Havoc can seriously lay down some law in a gunfight, I'd however STRONGLY recommend getting Death From Above. It makes FoH so much more viable for PvP it's insane. Personally? I run Defender for max speed and armor, with a focus around my Force Barrier. I'm not the greatest in a ranged fight ( Lacking the pretty abilities the other classes have for softening up targets ) however once I get close? It's the Titan's game. If I can get my Force Barrier up in Rumble, with the talent that allows it to continuously recharge? I'm getting three kills or four, no matter how many rush me. Titan certainly is not forgiving however. If you're flanked or sniped at, you are more than likely a dead man. Sticky Grenade and Ward of Dawn are good, but there is still some issues with grenades penetrating the shield and basically making it a pretty visual effect. We're not endowed with great abilities, but if you play your hand right? We are some sturdy targets. That also being said, PvE makes you feel like a god. I love my Titan on strikes, nothing like getting your Force Barrier and being able to clear trash without a worry in the world. Keep at it man! I thought the same earlier this week, but just learn where we excel and apply it.

  • Thumbs up man, Titans deserve some respect. (That Death from Above though) = Superman on steroids

  • Can you explain how exactly the Unbreakable (force barrier recharge) skill works? Does it stay indefinitely? And do you have to get a melee kill to activate it?

  • Basically without it, Force Barrier only has until the shield is depleted, with the recharge, it will ( not rapidly, but a good pace ) refill, and do so until the duration of Force barrier times out. Combine this with the gauntlets from Xur, and a Strength / Discipline set, and you're in good business for being tanky.

  • Nicely said personally I play as a hunter but I see what you mean my friend runs titan all about the close range or locking down bottle necks or objectives with your shield, from experience though you have to put so many rounds into you guys if you've set you player up a certain may I find myself as a hunter harassing targets more chipping at their health using my agility to an advantage.

  • You summed it up perfectly. I feel like my number one job as a PVE Titan is taking out the trash. I was just telling my Warlock buddy this the other day. The Titan is the anchor. My job is to clean up all the adds as quickly as possible so my fireteam can keep focused on the boss. When shit hits the fan I am always the last man standing. The Defender subclass is fantastic for this.
