Are Titans the weakest in the Crucible, or am I just worse than I think?
I've tried Crucible over and over. My friends tell me it's fun, and that you have to get use to it, but they're playing as Warlocks and Hunters. I'm constantly being wrecked by players, that are mostly Hunters and Warlocks. Even thinking about it, I don't really see that many Titans in the Crucible. The Titan abilities seem to only really work in defense, even the Striker Subclass. Is any other Titan just getting destroyed out there? I'm good at games like Halo and Battlefield, and I'll admit, I'm not great at Crucible, but this is out of control! Does anyone feel the same? Are Titans a weaker PvP class?

Im sorry to say your not very good at using this class then. Why not try the other classes if you're want to continue playing and maybe you will find success.

1 Replyhttp://youtu.be/hF1cc0r2plE I think Titans are the most fun class to play. They have a lot of utility, so they make more of a great support type class. I promise, if you practice with shoulder charge and start rushing heavy spawns with your fist of havoc you will have a better time. That aside, I do believe hunters are deadlier. They just have more killing potential in their grenades, supers, and melees; whereas Titans are more geared for supporting and suppressing.

8 RepliesNo, not in my opinion. I usually place 1st on my team no matter what when I play as my titan. I suppose it just depends on how you play and getting used to playing as a titan.

I just finished leveling titan via crucible, it's very good. Its all about the player in the end though.

Are Titans a weaker PvP class?[/quote]just make a hunter and u will see how much easier it is in pvp. Start with blink early on and get used to it. Your kd will be at least 0.3 higher. It is so much easier to kill 3 or 4 people per super. Run flux grenade and stick em. Run hungering blade and razors edge on your blade dancer. Trust me.

Are Titans a weaker PvP class?[/quote] I main Titan as a 2KD average on crucible (same with my hunter). You need to get a good set-up for your personal playstyle and learn to react to others. It is not the class that makes the player but the player themselves.

Maybe the Titan doesn't fit your playstyle. Try a different class and see if it fits how you play better. Don't let your friends tell you not to because they already picked that class.

They just might not be the pvp class for you. If you're dead set on it, I'd suggest using striker and armamentarium as a solid start. Flashbang and suppression grenades are useful as well. It's a big difference going from pve to pvp, and really bad when you get matched against a well-organized team. Good luck to you moving forward, yeah?

Hunters are the best PvP class. I think Titans may be the weakest, but they can be very strong in certain situations with defender bubble.

I have a friend who routinely gets double kills with his fist of havoc. He also excels at close range combat and uses found verdict. He does rather well.

I enjoy playing with my titan. I can normally take a little more damage than my hunter. Plus shoulder charging someone in the air is fun. They are a little slower so I tend to stay back a bit more.

Well, I do like being able to take a tripmine in the face and not die. I also like having some sweet Death from above moments, there was one game where I was probably better than half my team in kills with Helm of Inmost Light buffed FoH. Death from above is just MENTAL.

Could be because my first time playing was as a Titan so it took awhile to build my KD back up. My least played character is my Hunter, but I mainly only use it for PvP. Seems like I do best with it. I'm sure it all depends on the player. People do better with some classes than others. Just find the class you do better on overall.

1 ReplyDefender is good for control and just as good for safe revives in skirmish/trials. Striker is a blast if you play aggressively. Weaker in trials yes, but not as much as claimed. Just practice and play to the strengths of your subs. Titans can wreck in the right hands.

My primary is a hunter and they're the COD class. Run and gun all day. Titans have to more deliberate and measured. Once you engage you have to commit, there's no escape method for a Titan and no way to disengage safely. My best game ever was on my Titan. 54 kills 10 deaths over 10k score.

Stick with it, try different tactic. Maybe set yourself up for max agility and go defensive titan.
