I tryed to login on the Destiny server on my Xbox One and I got this Error code '' Error Failed to download Configuration files from Bungie servers, pleases try again. For my information, Visit help.bungie.net and search for error code: turtle '' I have searched the forms and found no information on this, this is why I made a new form post as it asked me to do so I am on xbox One and on a home internet connection in Ireland if that helps

  • Well this worked for me just now: If you have a Bt-hub5 Go to advance settings Then home network Then turn off your smart settings

  • Are you with BT? If so, log into your account on a PC or laptop. I was stuck for hours, logged in on a tablet and it wouldn't work. It's like the PC is the mother system of the account for some reason? Sorted my 'turtle' out instantly!

    • If you have bt Internet be sure to go onto the Internet explorer app on your console and go through the steps to set the Internet up, it seems to work after that

      • I had this problem, I opened up/set up Internet explorer on the xbox one and that solved my problem.

Ok i had this also, i am on bt infinity so i opened internet explorer and it came up with a screen about initial setup click continue or somethin then keep going until it cones to parental controls, click " i dont want parental controls" then continue until it asks you to log into your account , dont log in, no need but close browser turn off console and back on again, destiny should no longer have turtle error, obviously this only works for bt as far as i know but there may be aimilar protocols for other service providers and/or routers Hope this helps Ridems

          • Best I can tell you is to reload destiny. If that doesn't work unplug xbox for 30 seconds. Then plug it back in and wait another 30 seconds

          • Started a new topic: error code turtle

          • Well I haven't solved my issue entirely however I find that launching and restarting the game eventually gets it to download that 1mb update and get past the error, however (at least personally) my game for some reason doesn't even finish "transferring game content" afterwards so I'm just as stuck as you. (Note: I did reinstall once but didn't really change anything. {Also got Xbox One, but in the US.})
