Yes, this needs to happen. The colors look completely different during the day/night on the tower. My Exo's face markings looked red in character creation but now appear bright orange during cut-scenes. I would recreate my character but I have played too much already to bother doing it again.

I agree with this. You can't rotate your character at all during character creation, so you have no idea what the back of your character's head looks like. The light can make things look different as well. I hope it won't be an inconvenience for Bungie to change this
