Awesome Gaming Headset!!!

Looking for a really really good gaming headset within a $200 budget. Must be compatible with Xbone, have chat, 5.1 presence and reasonable comfort for long periods of gaming. I really wanna get this thing when Destiny launches so I can play all night without disturbing my roommates from using my actual 5.1 home audio system. There are so many brands! Do you own one of these headsets? Which one do you recommend?

  • Turtle Beach X12s. I've had mine for about 3 years and never had an issue with them and the sound quality is great. You'll have to dish out another $25 for the chat adapter to make it work on Xbone though.

Well they come out in Oct but Turtle Beach has the Stealth X500 coming out that is completely wireless including chat. I preordered mine already. Here is the link to Amazon but Best Buy has them coming out first( about 2 weeks early). • Compromise can be a -blam- sometimes! I'm now torn between the SC Player 1 (new) or the Astro A50 (used, Craigslist). I'm kinda leaning towards Astro because of the over-the-ear comfort and because I found one on CL for $250 OBO, willing to test out functionality before buy.

    • I would recommend Skullcandy PLYR1. 7.1 channel surround sound, and wireless.

      • Save up and get either the A40s if you don't mind wires or save up even more for the A50s. I have the A50s and they're awesome. You could als wait for black friday. I saved €75 by doing just that.

      • Astro A50 by far! However it will not fit your $200.00 budget. Check out the Astro A40 instead. The price might have dropped.

My razer Chimaeras were great with xbox 360. I switched to ps4 and bought skullcandy ones when I got the new console so I don't know how the chimaera works with the xbone. Ps I read that skullcandy was made by the same folks as the astro headsets and we're just as good with a lower price tag. I have never played with the Astros, but I do so love my wireless skullcandy headset.

      • AstroGaming. Though I am pretty sure all their headsets fall above your budget. But you might be able find a pair. Try looking at the A30s. Also some TurtleBeach headsets. I personally own a pair of Astro A40s with the mix amp. It is $50 above your budget. But they have amazing sound and are very comfortable. Might be worth looking into and raising your budget. But that is just my opinion. Hope you find what you are looking for. Let us know if you do!
