Are Precursors just giant Graveminds, if so is it them who created the flood for defense against the Forerunners?
Also, the Captive from Primordium, or the Precursor, said "[i]And, our answer is at hand.[/i]". To what was he referring to?

Fan understanding of the Precursors is that the Primordials were a type of Precursor. Which goes hand in hand with the powder being meant to regenerate their past forms.
