Prone is a reserved feature for military style games. What need would there be in prone on a game like this? You aren't meant to be hiding in the grass lol. You should be running around showing the uglies what they are up against.

Implying that it is normally only seen for games such as CoD or Battlefield or something of that sort. Majority of sci-fi shooters only have crouch. Soldiers would not be an accurate naming of it though as things like mass effect and star wars battlefront you were playing as solders and still did not prone =P
