People are probably going to flame at me for this, but it's my opinion.

I am excited for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. The problem is, people are backlashing on those who pre-ordered the game, including me. And I have to admit, your description is hilarious, but I'm more than likely going to collapse under a pile of criticism when I set foot into Destiny, being called a brainwashed COD fanboy, or an annoying 12-year old simply for the sake of my opinions. If that turns out to be the case, I'll wear it with pride, because in my opinion, the shader looks badass.

MW2. Was the best. I liked it and Halo3 theb CoD webt and.-blam!-ed me over with Blops. But this new CoD mp gameplay looked sick as -blam!-. They finally have something.that caught my MW2 eye. Rage mode will commence lol

Thank you for being the one COD fan who could take a joke. Like your Ghost, I've been looking for you for a long time.

Could Destiny exist without the previous success of COD titles?
-
I don't know, to be honest
-
Yes it could, because 1) COD doesn't dictate the genre and 2) Destiny reputation stems from Halo's success, not COD.

Would activision have the money to support destiny without their call of duty money maker?
-
Edited by TheMighty3X: 8/29/2014 4:10:02 PMActivision are the ones who went to Bungie, not the other way around. They signed the deal with Bungie because of the lawsuit with Jason West and Vincent Zampella and needed a new direction in major games development aside from COD in the wake of the majority of Infinity Ward's original staff leaving and filing that class action suit against them.
-
What does that change. If another publisher had signed them they wouldve had a budget but it proly wouldnt have been as big
-
It was only going to be one of the Big 3 (Activision, EA or Ubisoft) to sign on with a major developer like Bungie. They weren't going to do this with just any publisher. JUst happens that Activision were the ones who jumped first. This agreement came to be all the way back in 2010, back before we knew anything any of games out now, so it was strictly a decision Activision made to get themselves a fresh franchise aside from COD, not relying on it.

Ok thats a good point
-
Now that's a valid point.
