EB Games Destiny Midnight launch
So is anyone else thinking about going to the midnight launch?
Every time I'm in EB games they remind me about
If I go on the plus side I'll have about 10 hrs play before the US get on the server and slow everything down
And 10 hrs of levelling up
On the con side I don't think I'll be heading to work on Tuesday

EB Games in Western Australia aren't allowed to hold midnight launches due to archaic trading laws :( Have to wait until 8am (AWST) before we can pick up our copies of Destiny! Oh well, I'll be there for opening and online as soon as possible afterwards :)

I used to do the midnight thing, grab the game and try to finish it in one sitting co-op with friends. (only ever completed this challange with Halo:ODST) anyway, the prospect of sleep is way too appeling for me at the moment, I'll be picking up my pre-order on my way home from work. (all grown up "booo") I'll see you on then.

Edited by Cardinal Erebus: 8/27/2014 11:19:33 AMThe 10 hour window we have until the Americans will join will be the most peaceful times in gaming history. After that those peaceful times will then end when the americans join in as they always do... where ever they go. Shots fired~

You know the servers don't come online until 12:01am PDT time right .so everyone will play at the same time .no early starts for anyone

EB Games is owned by GameStop. EB Games is still in Australia. I'm hiking to my midnight launch. Probably only be about 10 people there, which will be awesome. I work until midnight on Monday night, so I'll head over (luckily EB Games is in the same complex as my workplace!) and grab my copies then :D And I have Tuesday off, so I'm playing alllllllllllllll day.

I won't be going midnight but I'll be going early that morning

I wont be midnight launching. Got mine pre-ordered from JB. But go for it man. Day off work aint that bad.

EB games still exists? I miss them :(
-
I will be going for sure.

My EB games said they have way over 2k of preorders
-
Sadly there are two in my area and neither received enough preorders for a midnight launch according to staff there. So I'm going to get a good night sleep and head out first light. They claimed they need over 1k in preorders to warrant a mid night release. I'm thinking they're hogging copies for friends. Anyone else run into this issue?
