My mother had an Atari with Frogger and Qbert on it. Once that broke we got an NES but all I had was Excite Bike, some monster truck game, Zelda, Ninja Turtles, Batman, Duck Hunt and all 3 Mario's.
SNES is where I hit my stride as a gamer, I don't think there was a game out that I didn't own.
I think the biggest transition in gaming evolution happened from the 80's to the 90's. Went from 2d side scrolling to full on 3d free roam.
Amazing times. Now it's just standard and under appreciated.
