One of the kids in my school was named Shiitake. Screwed up name. Apparently, the story behind his name is that his family was really into eating shiitake mushrooms and when he was born, they decided to name him shiitake because they loved the mushroom so much. But, other people don't view it that way, or pronounce it correctly...
