Vault of Tears
I know I for one, want the Vault of Glass to be so hard that it takes me and my friends a good amount of time to complete. I like games that are so challenging that I get mad. I need the anger to fuel the fire. If I beat the so called " hardest thing we've ever built" within an hour or two, I'm gonna be pretty annoyed. But I trust in Bungie, I trust they'll make me cry.

1 ReplyI think that the hardest game I ever played and completed was Mass Effect 3 and 2 on Insane. Never have I been so angry at myself or a game before.

Playing bungie halos on legendary was super tough and alot of frustration though. They know how to add difficulty to games.

10 RepliesI did the Strike with a friend on hard mode during the beta. At the same time, another two of my friends started the same strike on normal mode because one of them wasn't quite level 8 yet. Shortly into the hardmode, it was clear that our third random teammate was gonna be useless. He quit shortly before the Dinkletron Defense part of the strike. So it was just me and my friend on this hardmode strike together so we say, "screw it, let's do this." The following hour and a half resulting from all the hard work and fighting and restarting was some of the best fun I've had in gaming. And this was the [b]BETA[/b]. I am so excited for this game, and raiding, it's gonna be a frigging blast.

1 ReplyI want it to be hard that way when/if i beat it the rewards are so much sweeter. I dont want them to nerf it down if people complain its to hard. Games go to soft nowadays. Hey guess what. If you suck then you suck. Get better. Not hey lets complain and hope they make it easier.

I hope that when someone beats a Raid like in most MMO games I have played there is a small banner up top saying "Congratulations to *insert guardians/clan/GTs here* who have succesfully ventured into the dark and overcome the vault of glass we salute you" so everytime someone beats it there is a notification that would let everyone know the first time it is beat and other times only if it truly very very hard to complete.

By which I mean, if you and your friends choose to preserve the activity difficulty by NOT doing [i]any[/i] research on how to clear the vault...it'll probably make you all throw-yer-controller mad several times before you finish it. I'm guessing that a lot of people are going to look up the inevitable raid strategy writeups put out by the people that clear it first, and then they'll bitch and moan that it was too easy, and blame Bungie-kins for not giving them more content to cheat-clear. Stay strong. No raid research. You won't be alone.
