The same thing that happened in ODST when the SMG got a red dot sight put on it.

But the Smg doesn't have a scope function in any of the games. The BR does, and that's what makes the difference so interesting.

You really think so Chronarch? The last thing I think anybody wants is weapon attachments. You think it is just a redesign?

Yup. We won't be getting weapon attachments or ADS, the focus of Halo 5: Guardians is bringing back the classic arena experience - that's what 343 has been banging on about since E3, and both Brad Welch and Quinn DelHoyo (343's lead multiplayer designers) have been in an open dialogue with the community on twitter for months talking about how great the classic arena shooters are.
