Hello guardians, Bungie are making quite the emphasis on clans but we are all still waiting to hear how clans will be able to face off in the crucible. In the alpha and beta you could get your fire-team together and join a PvP game, 99.9% of the time all players in your fire-team would be in your team but you were match-made into a random server against random players as the opposition. What I would like/ hope to see is the ability to create a server with customizable playlists, by this I mean being able to set which order maps are played and also be able to switch game modes for each map with the exception of the Iron banner. These servers could be password protected to stop randoms joining and obviously if its a password server it would be un-ranked. You could instead of using passwords have it clan tag only, you would set the tags of your clan and the oppositions as part of the server set up so only those with the correct tags can join. I have seen both of these options work in other games. Now to talk about Allegiances. I am Co-leader of MWHS clan, we started in 2007 in Warhawk for PS3. We have won Gamebattles European ladders and countless friendly clan battles, we have won Urgent fury tournaments on Starhawk and we had many of our members play for the UK in the Starhawk world cup which was hosted by Sony and were undefeated. We have allied with BLZ clan, they started in 2005 for Killzone: Liberation and we met them during our time on Warhawk. We have been allies for years and its great to be able to do it officially but what exactly does it mean? I would like to think that its more than just a title, the only thing I can think of is that players from a allied clan will be able to join you in clan battles as substitutes maybe. Each clan can only have one allegiance so choosing your allies carefully is a must. Two strong clans together will truly make a force to be reckoned with!
