It does look pretty generic imo as well, more like a linear tube rather than the distinctive design the original had. As for the sword, it now looks like it's been stylized similarly to a kind of elongated Covenant symbol, pictured above.It no longer has the curve back near the handle, which only makes sense. Those curves were stupid; you ran the risk of cutting open your own wrist with them there.
