84 kid here. LOAD "" Playing Bruce lee on my spectrum 48k with my older brother. Kicking Bruce lee's ass with the fat dude and getting slapped in the face for real because of it. Same with Lotus when we had a 486 pc. Actually playing football in the street with your mates without your parents or adults worrying that you might get kidnapped or get pictures taken off by pervs. Getting your neighbours windows broken with a football and running for your life afterwards, hoping he'd never find out who done it. But eventually the neighbour would talk to your mum, make you apologise and slap you in the face, or ground you, or both when he went away. This might not make sense to those of you who are American, but having your own national currency and how much cheaper everything seemed to be compared to now. You could actually buy four loly pops and 2 gorilla gums with the equivalent of 50 euro cents. Chocolate fags! Anyone remember these? Proper toons. Having access to only 4 TV channels (actually, now that I think about it, it was 2 in the 80's and 4 in the 90's). To have more you'd need to buy a small satellite dish. The 80's were awesome.
