Utter Nonsense

Are those supposed to be Phobos and Deimos, the pathetic potato-shaped moons of Mars? Don't bullshit me Bungie. We all know Phobos moves 6 feet closer to Mars per century - and since your 'Destiny' game is set 700 years in the future, that would mean it would have moved only a mere 42 feet closer to the surface of Mars (not even a marginal dent in the 5826 mile orbit there is today). And don't even get me started about Deimos. That moon is supposed to be a speck of dust in the sky, and moving away from Mars at that. Christ on a bike, if you're going to make a game about space, at least get the orbital bodies of your planets right.

  • The Traveler changed the gravity on the Moon, Venus, and Mars to mimic that of Earth's...It is reasonable to assume that the increase in gravitational pull on Deimos and Phobos would bring them closer to the planet. Not to mention Bungie wanted to create not the most realistic images of out solar system, but more fantastical, mirroring the images of what you imagine what the planets would be like...Sweeping dunes of red sand on Mars (much more red than Mars actually is), the dust getting everywhere; Venus having a humid, tropical, and volcanic environment. The yellow cloudy sky, brighter because it is closer to sun. This isn't just a Sci-Fi, it is a Sci-Fi Fantasy, and the planets reflect this.
