When I dismantled my weapons it only gave me 6-25 glimmer or so, that seems rather small, what's your opinion on this? would you still recommend dismantling items I don't really need or use very much or not?

Dismantling weapons also gives you parts that you need to upgrade new weapons.

weapons put in your vault can be shared by all 3 characters on your account, so if you plan on making a second character then save them, especially lower level uncommon or higher gear, so it will give your low level characters a slight advantage.
