This...is a great way to get opinions out there. Great job oliverkeen77 for being a level-headed OP. Honestly an added feature for Proximity chat sounds like a great idea in retrospect and there is lots of good things about it. However, think about all the bad things: Trolls, Squeakers, Music Blarers, and the fact that you are just having a conversation with someone and suddenly some kid near you is yelling out that everyone should join his fireteam because he has a high K/D and that he can do what anyone can do and a lot of people more capable than him can do better. Muting could fix this, but a testing period for this feature would probably be the best course of action. However Bungie is known for being a community-based developing company so anyone who likes Bungie probably shares their values. At least that's what we want to believe anyways.
