Wow is this considered CHEATING?
Forgive my ignorance, but I just came across this and don't know what to make of it just yet. I could see gamers using it in Destiny Crucible.
What do you guys think? Would you buy the Hipshotdot? Apparently they sell is at Gamestop.

This baffles me. I don't understand why any person would feel that they need or want this. Maybe there are people out there that are really out to sea when it comes to first person shooters.

Considering most FPS games have spread patterns this is so incredibly useless and it blows my mind that someone has invested in a product like this. It isn't cheating it's more of a crutch for bad players. A good player will understand weapon spread and bullet registration through use.

Cheating no doubt. Even my 11yr old brother called out that its cheating ffs, its quiet pathetic and i hope Destiny has their sights off centre just to screw ppl over who use this kind of sht. Makes me wanna get on CoD and kill some kids that use this to make them mad. MP is to test your skill against other players not be a no skill cnt that relies upon a dot on their T.V. Its funny how they say GOW3 is an FPS, the company obviously dose not know what an FPS is. Plus they think ppl need it for halo... Halo has its own blue dot why would you need it other than to get in the way. :/ the stupidity of american advertising never ceases to amaze me :/

To an extent yes it's cheating. You are crossing into a realm called meta gaming. Die hards will call you out for it and others just won't care. Personally, if you need something like this to play better then that's your problem. I prefer the idea of practice makes perfect... not 60 bucks wasted on a fancy red dot attached to a suction cup.

It circumvents mechanics built into a game: *simulates an extra weapon mod *negates the effects of an EMP grenade on your electronic sites ==cheating, imo

I feel if it negates the use of a lot of things in a game, then yes it is cheating. That call of duty example was basically saying "now you have 3 attachments for your gun". That's just messed up and anyone who uses this thing should be ashamed.

I'm at work, so I couldn't watch the video... But based on the thumbnail, it's a line you put on your screen to indicate the center? If that's all it is, no, I wouldn't call that cheating... It's not like it affects the accuracy if the gun itself.

1 ReplyHonestly, no. Its really not. Because if your hip shooting, and you DON'T know where your shots are going to be.. Ya know the middle of the screen, then you might need the help anyway. Its basic gamer stuff to be able to hip shot accurately..
