I experienced all times of day while playing explore mode in old Russia in the Beta. During the alpha it also snowed, including inside buildings, probably took it out for bugs like that, at least till they can fix it. Did see all sorts of clouds, I remember thunder storms in the distance, not 100% sure of that.
