Well. I know up at the oil sands some of the trades guys have to be clean shaven at some sites. They make it mandatory because if working with breathing equipment they need to have a perfect seal between their face and mask. Not sure if lore wise this would be an issue for their space masks or if it just goes around the whole head. Probably overthinking this lol.
