They were using it to attract people to get on the servers. Bungie was running a test yesterday to see how the severed handled a late amount of players, as of it was the actual game.

EXACTLY!!!!!! They have to get everything right with the servers and a consoles first ever O like WoW where no matter what, you see other players running around. SOLO yes. other people in the picture why not.... you getting your ass handed to you and random group helps you out, Awesome wave and carry on. But point is they can't just have it set this way and not consistently test out the server loads with how they have this game being online the way it is.

I guess, but pretty much right now these people are just doing their jobs, and if you like how it goes for the Beta great, but if not to them it's either goodbye or try again later when the actual game comes out. Their main focus right now is just making sure everything is fully ready and prepped for September 9th. No matter what the costs are, I mean they didn't have to run a public beta but they did to not only appeal us but to make sure they get it all right.
