Hey everyone!
My name is obviously Havatti, and I'm glad to be here!
Recently, I have been playing a lot of exploration, more or less on the forgotten shore area, and after hours and hours I have generated a delicious amount of Glimmer! I have also made a map with ALL THE FORGOTTEN SHORE LOOT CHEST LOCATIONS that you can find in my video very soon! (When imgur will cease being a pain in the butt, please be patient)
So I decided to give a whirl at commentating! I made a tutorial video on how I get around 8000 - 10,000 glimmer every 60 minutes, through some simple paths and knowledge and tricks! It is my very first time making a commentary, and while I have been encouraged by friends to try it in the past, I've always been a bit nervous. So here it is!
I plan to do more videos in the future on subjects like how to effectively use the Hand Cannon, increase the chance of public events, and more!
If you could watch the video, leave a like and/or favorite, and subscribe, that would be grand! Feedback and constructive criticism would really help guys! I'd appreciate it!
Thanks!

Farming in a beta?
-
Thx for letting everyone know about this exploitation, thx for ruining it by posting about it , now Bungie will more than likely remove this. Good job ass clown

First you missed about a third of the chest locations and you didnt put the map in your vid.
-
Well from my experience the chest spawn random, the only sure things I have come across are following the outer path along the edge of the ground when you spawn in to your left. Also chests tend to spawn in on sides of building a lot. Most chests reset often and once you have made your rounds through the environment I have found if you turn back around and make your way back to the start a good amount of them have returned. Also very good places to find them are on cliffs. I am a lover of exploration and I spend hours just searching, reminds me so much of Borderlands 2. ^_^

I still feel like doing the Circle method in that one area (forgot what it's called. its the start of Devils Lair) is better. I average 10k an hour from that.

Soap box alert! This is the problem with people and society today, always looking for a handout instead of earning it. A map with event locations is useful, like an employment office, but to say this is how to cheat the system is weak. Play the game and life without short cuts and cheating, in the end you will feel better about how you achived sucsess.

beta is over, shut up ps. attaching a much more useful video, for post-beta life
-
Lol ive gotton about 5000 glimmer in 30min, and not using this whole chest thing, lol if i told you how it might be fixed.

Your route is the worst one in the game. The others have been covered so let's make a video a clams the route as my own. There are plenty of faster more profitable routes.
-
sad this is happening already
-
I see a video I see no map, where is this Map? I would like to see this Map Image

Edited by Mandingo: 7/26/2014 8:24:05 PMDestiny Space Pirate Edition, I hope September 9 mobs will give you 1 or 2 glimmer, cuz this is pathetic.
-
Very good video and commentary, especially for your first one!!
-
Meh, the game is very much like an MMORPG but It makes me sad to see people already resorting to just farming like crazy. I always think it's more fun for a group of friends to gain the loot/currency/rep by playing the game the way it's supposed to be played. (Via exploration and small side-missions) I don't dislike players for doing it because in real MMORPGs farming is sometimes incredibly necessary but I don't condone it in Destiny because Destiny is so much better without the farm feat aspect of it.
-
not sure the name of the area but i use the one building by the helicopters and there are 11 chest spawn locations all in a walk distant (can make it between them faster then you can spawn a speeder to check the spots)
-
I dont need to glitch or do some farming method to get glimmer :P i just jump into explore for an hour and i come home with atleast 4k
-
awesome that there are people making glimmer farming vids. But its a beta. what are you gonn spend it on? a bunch of lvl 20 pvp gear you cant use? or regular gear if you get your vanguard/cryptarch ranks high enough?
-
Dude, about the concerns on your voice recording: you sound fine. If you control your breathing and stop exhaling and inhaling before and after what you say then you'd be great. Other than that, you should really continue
-
no source but i've heard in a podcast that there are always at least 5 chests at any given occasion in a set area. that means that waiting only helps if there are other people finding chests. oh and by the way, on the big ship you run around? there is a chest below/behind the stairs in the back.
-
Farming in Rocket yard is more profitable I believe. I always get at least 7k every half hour plus ether seeds or house banners every so often.
-
Its actually almost fun speeding around the map like this, i hope it doesn't get nerfed...
-
Boosting already?!?!
-
This is where I do my glimmer farming you can max out the glimmer (25k) in about an hour and half two hours.
-
I like farming the divide. I know were all the chests and spin metal are so I make a lot of money. Also ether seeds and house banners. And a fallen walker every so often

Edited by DannyB513: 7/26/2014 9:22:41 AMThanks for the video!! I normally glimmer farm in Skywatch. The area is really compact and you are pretty much just going in a circle. If you haven't farmed there it is really easy to find all the chest locations. Plus you are right there to watch and get involved in the massive battles between the Fallen and Hive that take place there. Start out by going up the stairs. There will be a room on your right. Then go up around the helo's to the cave that all the Fallen spawn out of during the massive fight between Fallen and Hive. Come back out of that cave and jump up to ledge above. Walk over to where you can drop down on path that will take you to ?? Knight. Spawn there sometimes. Head over to building behind you. Spawn point right next to building. spawn point under stairs from short roof to main roof. Spawn point right next to AC on short roof. There are 2 locations on the taller roof of the building. There are 3 or 4 spawn locations up in the ceiling inside that same building. Drop off from that area like you are going to Hive ship. Cave spawn right behind you when you drop off. Go inside ship, take out knight and 2 acolytes. Spawn location in room to right. Looking at the front of the ship, go left to room that all the Hive spawn out of during massive Fallen/hive battle. Spawn location in that room. Jump back over to stairs where you started. Rinse and repeat.

I think you'd be interested in joining my group, "The Exploration Crew" with this type of stuff. I hope to make the group Destiny's most popular exploration group in time.
