Well once your armor is up to the maximum of 160 defense in the Beta then you don't need to buy anymore armor . So why not spend it on emblems and ships ? We don't have a choice . But mark my words when the full game releases people would no longer do it for the looks . You have to be wise on how you waste material and glimmer points . You'll need it for better weapons and armor .
